Written:Students will work in 3 person groups and submit 5 multiple choice questions per group for use in a google docs. quiz on the Anglo-Saxon period and Beowulf.
Example Resource for this Scenario:Students will begin by using the SAS Curriculum Pathways software to do introductory research into the Anglo-Saxon period.
Multimedia:Upon completion, students will use the web camera on their laptops to film a video response to be posted on the class wiki site. The topic for the reflection will discuss the function of "feasting" in the epic Poem Beowulf. Additionally, the response will connect the tradition of feasting to modern times by providing a relevant example of "feasting" in their own life.
- Scenario 2: Math/Science
Written: Ms. Sweetie Sally likes to give students the opportunity to explore math related topics without formal math instruction. For various units throughout her advanced math class, Ms. Sally posts a unit outline with topics for students to explore. Students choose a topic in which they are interested and use flip videos to film a lesson on the topic. Students also cretae a written document in the form of a worksheet or quiz pertaining to the topic. Ms. Sally then posts the videos and worksheets on her website for other students to use as tutorials and practice. Students must post comments to a blog on each of the individual topics.
